Created by Lena Boone, daughter of Edna Leki, is this directional fetish pot. They are used by the medicine society to keep ceremonial objects. Currently there are only two artists in Zuni who create fetish pots for the medicine society – Lena Boone and Marvelita Phillips.
This work features six carvings all together. A jet Mole is pictured sitting outside the pot, about 2 1/4" long, which normally rests inside the pot with loose cornmeal. The rest of the animals include a pipestone Badger, an alabaster bushy tail, a serpentine Mountain lion, a turquoise Bear and an inlaid turquoise and red coral Eagle of shell that is secured to the top center of the piece. This directional fetish pot is about 7 3/8" at widest part and

It's true, it is not easy being green, but this nice Snake is doing a great job of it! Carved of Mojave green turquoise with wonderful cross hatching marks and inlaid jet eyes, 1 1/4" long and 3/8" tall. - $40.00

Fascinating Chiapas amber has been transformed into an elegant and sculptural Eagle enjoying a quite moment in time. This raptor's eyes are of inlaid mother-of-pearl, 2 1/8" long and 1 3/8" tall. $200.00
