An upcoming advertisement for Keshi in El Palacio magazine and American Indian Art magazine, is Ray's masterpiece, 'Grace The Rainbow Maiden' carved of antler with amazing areas of interest!
We love the hand carved black lip shell Rainbow man on her head, with intricate inlay of red coral, Sleeping Beauty turquoise, malachite, jet, gold lip shell and lapis.
Her eyes are of inlaid pen shell, cheeks of coral and mouth of red coral. Her necklace is absolutely incredible as stones like sugilite, red coral, malachite, turquoise and lapis are inlaid. Ray's also adorned her with a fine heishe and branch red coral necklace. Discs of Sleeping Beauty turquoise are also attached.
Her braided hair is finely incised and highlighted with lapis stones. The reverse side hosts gorgeously carved fossilized ivory feathers with a Zuni sunface adornment of lapis, turquoise, shell, jet, red coral and gold lip shell.
This maiden stands on a substantial base of lapis. About 12" tall including base, 5 3/8" wide at Rainbow man headdress and 3 1/4" deep at base. Extra shipping charges will apply due to fragility factor. - $4000.00
