This glistening mother-of-pearl mermaid, the mythological aquatic creature said to have first appeared in Assyrian stories around 1000 BC, was carved by the remarkable Kevin Chapman.
The details in this piece are exquisite from the fine fish scales on the lower body region, to her long flowing hair and mysterious face. With red coral accents, this unusual carving is about 2 7/8" tall, 2 1/4" long and 3/4" at thickest part. The loop within her hair could facilitate suspension if desired. - $350.00
