Blanketed Set of Six Directions by Brian Yatsattie

A remarkable set of six directions, carved by Brian from antler. Brian is the only carver we've seen to carve his set wrapped in blankets, and his explanation was that he wanted them to be "warm." To Keshi, they appear as wise elder animals, and deserve a place of honor! Sizes range from 4" to 5 1/8". Included are Eagle of the sky, Mole of the ground, Badger of the south, Mountain lion of the north, Wolf (or Suski) of the east, and Bear of the west. - $900.00

Carved from serpentine sometimes referred to as 'wormwood', 'wormhole', or 'tijilite', this single piece represents each of the six directions. Eagle for the sky, Mole (carved on the underside) for the earth, Bear representing the West, Wolf represents the East, Badger for the South, and Mountain lion for the North. Each with turquoise eyes.
3 1/2" long, 2" tall, and 2 1/4" wide. The Cheama family was the first to create the set of six directions from one single stone, with the mole hidden underneath. - $340.00
