Celebration of Rain Plate by Brandon Kallestewa
Celebration of Rain Plate by Brandon Kallestewa

Brandon is the son of Erma Kallestewa Homer, a well-known potter from Zuni Pueblo. He's been working with clay for the last couple of years or so, and we're just plain impressed with his productions, especially the intricacy and refined quality seen in his painting. This pottery plate is a perfect example of his lovely painting abilities on natural clay. It celebrates all the making of rain for a year's planting and harvest. The Longhair is the Katsina of rain making and the other symbols for rain shown here are the Dragonfly, tadpoles, rain clouds and lightning. The diameter of this lovely plate is 6 1/4". - $110.00
