After hatching from an egg, the tadpole, sometimes called a 'polliwog', is gill-breathing and legless, moving itself by means of a tail. During the period of metamorphosis it develops lungs, legs, and other organs of an adult Frog, losing its tail. Sweetly carved of turquoise with red coral inlaid eyes, Debra's tadpole is 1 3/4" long and about 5/8" tall. - $54.00
