A Dragonfly of abalone sits just below mother's inlaid lapis, turquoise and red coral necklace. Her face is of gold lip shell with inlaid jet eyes and a red coral mouth. Her child wears a delicately carved gold lip shell feather in her whorled hair, and her shawl is inlaid with jet, red coral, turquoise and lapis pieces. Troy has incised a delicate feather and star design on mother's shawl that's finely inlaid with red coral all around the border. Her skirt is inlaid with jet, turquoise, lapis and red coral. This delightful maiden made by Troy is wearing a traditional headdress or 'tablita'. It is carved of antler that has been inlaid with pretty polished stones that include lapis, turquoise, red coral and variscite for the center piece in her necklace. Troy uses only natural materials and has done so with this superior six piece nativity set of antler. Each of the wise men, or astrologers, Joseph, Mary and baby Jesus are beautified with an assortment of gorgeous stones like turquoise, lapis, red coral, malachite, pen shell and jet. The burnt detail on the robes and moccasins is just incredible, as is the inlay work. Hand carved gold lip shell feathers and silver work are in the astrologer's traditionally styled cropped hair. Baby Jesus is nestled in the perfect cradle.
